Sheila Ohrenberg

Sheila Ohrenberg is a commercial construction specialist with more than 10 years’ experience managing new construction, maintenance, and renovation projects. She is currently the President of The Sorella Group, a Division 10 specialties product supplier for builders.

Sheila has extensive experience in the commercial construction world. As the Senior Project Manager for McKinzie Construction, she managed major commercial build projects for both federal and private organizations. She was also responsible for delivering the OSHA safety training to all employees.
At McKinzie, Sheila managed a wide variety of projects. She personally managed more than 20 major projects, including two major hospital remodels for the Department of Veteran Affairs, with job sites in Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri. The total project value for her projects exceeded $6 Million. She also managed the completion of a $6 Million data center upgrade for the Department of Agriculture, located in Missouri.

At Vineyard Construction Company, Sheila managed multiple projects for private commercial ventures. She worked hand-in-hand with business owners to guide their projects from sales and design through occupancy. Major projects include ground-up management of a 10,000 square foot Doctor’s Building in Independence, Missouri—a project valued at $1.2 Million. She also handled an extensive number of renovation and maintenance projects.

In 2006, Sheila saw an opportunity to provide high-quality service in the Division 10 specialties product market. She founded The Sorella Group with her sister and partner, Karla Neuweg. Since then, The Sorella Group has earned a reputation of outstanding service combined with customer loyalty throughout the commercial construction industry with their high-quality selection of restroom accessories, utility room accessories, fire cabinets, flagpoles, and lockers.

Sheila is a member of the Builder’s Association, Kansas City Chapter of Associated General Contractors and the Women Construction Owners & Executives (WCOE). She is a certified Occupational Safety Hazard Administration (OSHA) Outreach Trainer. In addition, she has received her USACE Contractor Quality Management Training. Sheila is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Institute, and has studied Construction Management at Kansas State University and Maple Woods Community College.
